♡Mini Beauty Haul!! ♡

So today I went to Boots, and while I was waiting for my prescription, I had a little wander...contrary to what you may think when I read this I actually exercised great self-control today, and you may be seeing a lot more hauls in the near future because there are more purchases to be made ;)

The first thing that I got, I have wanted for absolutely ages, it is the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. For those of you who haven't heard of this brush line, it has recently been brought out by beauty guru Sam Chapman, or pixiwoo as you may know her from YouTube!

This. Brush. Is. Amazing.

I mainly use liquid foundations myself, and I'm usually not a fan of using stippling brushes for my foundation because I find the brush can get grubby, it can be awkward to get the product properly blended into your face without feeling absolutely caked, but this brush has completely changed my attitude - it is the best foundation brush I have ever used.

I don't know if it's the combination of the fairly unique size of the brush head or the dual fibres, or maybe a combination of the two, but this brush helps you to pack on the pigment very cleanly to create a smooth and flawless look, but the finish looks so natural, and this brush helps to work the product into your skin so as to give amazing coverage but you don't actually even feel as if you've got make up on your face.

I'm so glad I bought this, and I'm definitely going to have a look at the rest of the range sometime soon. This brush, in my opinion, is comparable. although a lot better, than the MAC 130 brush, the fibres are a little stiffer and a little closer together, but still incredibly soft, and coming in at just under €16, it is an absolute steal for a good quality make-up brush.

The next thing that I had to pick up was the Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner from Rimmel London. I felt as if I had to grab this product because I'd literally heard SO much about it and how amazing it is to blend, it's meant to be just amazing for smoky eye looks. In the spirit, then, of feeling the fear and doing it anyway, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and I picked it  up in the shade 013 Purple.

Because I have green eyes, I've read in countless beauty blogs, magazines and fashion bibles that I should be using a purple eyeliner to accentuate them. Alas, being the make-up conservative that I am, this always terrified me - I was afraid I'd look like some sort of Disney princess on crack. I was so pleasantly surprised :) I put this eyeliner on my tightline and tried it out on my waterline too, and it made my eyes pop brilliantly. Applied with a light hand, the colour didn't stand out too much at all, but the pigmentation is absolutely brilliant and I feel confident if you wanted to achieve a brighter and more dramatic look with this eyeliner, you definitely could.

It's now past six in the evening and I can safely say that this eyeliner hasn't budged from where I put it at half eight this morning (and I am not the type of girl who bothers with touch-ups). It claims to be long wear and waterproof, and both of these I can definitely attest to - it took a good old wipe and scrub to take off last night. This eyeliner came at 5.49 and for the quality and the price, I will definitely be purchasing the brown/black versions in the very near future!!

The colour 013 comes in a deep purple and is super pigmented - here's a swatch I took today =)

The last thing that I picked up were two sets of eyelashes from Eylure...and okay guys, I'm going to admit it...I'M SCARED OF FALSE EYELASHES. Anytime I've ever worn them I feel like I bear a resemblance to Donkey from Shrek. However, I'm absolutely determined that I just haven't found the right pair to fit my face and my eye shape, so I have gone back to basics and I picked up these two sets of falsies from Boots. These are usually 7.99 each from Boots, but I was lucky and got both sets on special offer for €7.20. On first impression, I really like the ultra fine blend (in the pink packaging), but I haven't tried them yet, however I will be hitting the town with the girls next week and I'll be sure to let you guys know what I think!
